Geocache Description:

This is my first set of 2 caches - I hope you enjoy them!

You are at the site of a closed schoolyard. My hope was to give you a meaningful description of the significance that this school played in our local history, but quite honestly, it's hard to find information about something that doesn't exist anymore. So instead, I will tell you what this schoolyard means to me. No, I didn't attend this school. I began walking, then running around this block, first as a means of exercise, which later turned into the beginning stages of training for a half marathon. After literally running around in circles (it's about .4 miles around the block, and with a 4-mile run equaling 10 laps, I lose track after the 3rd lap!), I had to move on to bigger parks. Nonetheless, this quiet block serves as a place for the locals to stretch their legs and walk the pooches.

There is no need to bushwhack with this one. There also should be low muggle traffic here and plenty of parking.
