Oman has an amazing variety of landscapes and matching ecosystems: mountains, desert, irrigated farmlands, tidal flats and beaches. Not surprising that outdoor activities, especially in winter are very popular for tourists and locals alike. Some of the most popular places to relax are the endless beaches stretching more than 1500 km from the border with the UAE in the NE to Yemen in the SW. In the coastal cities many premier hotels are situated along these beaches, looking out over the Gulf of Oman or the Indian Ocean. The hotel near to this cache is one of the first hotels to be built in Muscat more than 35 years ago
This cache is hidden along the outer perimeter of this hotel. It is not necessary to enter the hotel grounds! In fact it is advisable to stay outside of the perimeter fence so not to attract the attention of the security guards. The cache is well camouflaged in order to survive in this muggle-invested area along the beach. Please use the utmost stealth when looking for the cache so that others are spared the disappointment of coming all the way out here, only to have to log a DNF afterwards!
The cache contains a logbook and a pencil. Please make sure that the cord attached to the logbook remains accessible for the next visitor so that they can remove the logbook with the same ease as yourself.
