Geocache Description:

This cache is located on a scenic lookout in the 16 Mile Creek Valley. The cache can be approached from two sides. There is a trail that leads to the cache although the terrain approaching both sides is steep and the footing is challenging. The effort is worth the reward as you can get a great vista in the fall / winter months of the river. The cache is in a camouflaged tupperware container.

Accessing this cache can be done from the river bottom before you start climbing the large hill that goes to the top of the valley wall on the paved/crushed gravel path. There is a small trail that goes to the NW from the bottom of the hill and is a dirt path. It quickly climbs up a large hill and then leads you to a plateau. This cool feature is a ridge in the valley and there are steep drop offs on all sides, but once you get to the top it is quite flat and safe. Access from the top is off of the heritage trails system and the first 20 feet are sketchy with roots and leaves, so be careful. After that you are clear sailing.
