This cache is on the southern approach to the town. It can be done as a cache and dash. Parking is available in the adjacent lay-by. Take care as the A49 is very busy. You are looking for a hanging container and will need your own pencil.
This is one of four caches all placed at the entrances to Craven Arms, which is signposted as the Gateway to the Marches, a fascinating border area spanning England and Wales. Craven Arms is well worth a visit. An unassuming former market town with a population of 3,000. It forms a bustling centre for local people and contains all the necessities of modern life including a railway station, school, library and supermarkets. It is worthwhile visiting the Museum of Lost Content in Market Street, The Secret Hills Discovery Centre (good place to park, get refreshments and let Geokids have a run about. There are picnic areas in Corvedale Road and at the Discovery Centre.
