Geocache Description:

Parking is available on the old road, now part of the Shropshire Way footpath on the Western approach to the town. You are looking for a small hanging cylinder.

This is one of four caches all placed at the entrances to Craven Arms which is signposted as the Gateway to the Marches, a fascinating border area spanning England and Wales. Craven Arms is well worth a visit. An unassuming former market town with a population of 3,ooo. It forms a busting centre for local people and contains all the necessities of modern life including a railway station, school, library and supermarkets. It is worthwhile visiting the Museum of Lost Content in Market Street and the Secret Hill Discovery Centre (good place to park, get refreshments and let Geokids have a run about. There are picnic areas in Corvedale Road and at the Discovery Centre.
