You are looking for a small lock-n-lock.
This is one of two caches on the Marsh River Bog Preserve owned by the Damariscotta River Association. It encompasses 54 acres of river, bog, two different trails, and power lines. The deer ticks and horseflies enjoy this area in the summer, so be ready to bathe in bug spray. Please spray your pets, too. There are some neat man-made bridges; good trail markings, and lots of tall marsh grass to gallop through. It is listed as an easy hiking trail, 1.4 miles with minimal elevation gain.
