The cache is not at the given coordinates.

Machattie Park was opened in December 1890. The park was built on
the site of the old Bathurst Gaol, which was demolished to make way
for the park.

The park shows its Victorian origins as a town park and contains
restored buildings such as the Fernery, Band Rotunda, Begonia
House, Caretakers Cottage, the Crago Fountain and Lake Spencer. The
park has a valuable collection of mature and majestic trees.

The park was named after Dr Richard Machattie, an early doctor who
served several times as Mayor and was leader of a group who fought
to have a park on the site.

We thought it would be nice to have a cache that encouraged fellow
cachers to explore inside Machattie Park. But when we got there,
the batteries in the GPS were flat. So we decided to take some
photos to guide you to clues within the park. Once you have found
all the clues you will only have a short stroll to the cache.

Unfortunately, the photos did not quite turn out as we intended, so
you will have to work a bit harder, first to identify each location
from the photo and then to find the clue. The photos are not in the
order A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H. You are looking for one of these
letters with a number at each location. Record the numbers to find
the cache.

No plants were harmed in placing this cache and we really hope that
no plants will be harmed in the search for the cache. You do not
have to walk on any garden beds. All the clues are within a metre
or two of the photo clue so search hard in the area around where
the photo was taken.

Two warnings - the park is usually very busy, so the muggle factor
is HUGE and includes a large team of park gardeners. And the cache
location can also be busy, so maybe this cache is not suitable for
TBs.

The police suggest that it is dangerous to walk through Machattie
Park at night, so for safety make this a daytime excursion despite
the muggles.
