I was out in Tampier looking for interesting spots. I saw this old fence line and decided to follow it. Sure enough I came across a fallen structure. I'm guessing from what I've seen is that it was an old garage of sorts.

I love nothing more than when I run across fallen structures in the woods. Ones that nature is in the midst of reclaiming, and yet enough still around to investigate. For me, it  means my hiking is over because I'll spend the rest of the day just pickin' over everything, then expand my search to understand the lay of the land.

When you run across a simple artifact as an old sugar bowl,  I stop to think of all the stories that were spoke around this centerpiece. Now silenced.

Be careful as you venture into this area. Their are boards with nails, and  a lot of jagged edges on rustic relics. See if you can follow the old treeline as I did.
