Anchors Away!! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ngaambul: As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Geocache Description:

This is the first cache to be hidden by the Anchors section (ages 5-7) of the North Beach Boys Brigade. It's a clear 2L Sistema container, hidden in a fairly usual way. All of the initial swappable items were donated by the Anchor Boys.

This cache was hidden as one of our regular Monday night activities in Term 4 2011. The boys had tried caching for the first time around Lake Leschenaultia at our annual father & son camp in July. They enjoyed it so much that we decided to teach them about latitude/longitude and how to use a GPS, then we found 4 caches around Star Swamp. The next logical step was to hide our own, so here it is!

The cache is hidden in the northern section of the Trigg Bushland Reserve, which is separated from the rest of the reserve by Karrinyup Road.

To avoid unnecessary bush-bashing and fence-climbing, I've included a waypoint which marks the start of a distinct sandy track close to Lynn Street. Please use this track, as you don't even need to stray off it to find the cache.

Please take care when retrieving and replacing the cache, so as not to damage the hiding spot. Also, beware of snakes in the summer months!
