Geocache Description:

The Loch Leven Heritage Trail is a circular trail around Loch Leven for 21km with lots of places to join and/or stop for refreshments en route.

The emphasis is on wildlife and Loch Leven’s status as a national nature reserve. The loch’s water, islands and reed-fringed shores are internationally important for nesting ducks and over-wintering wildfowl, with more than 20,000 pink-footed geese using the area. Whatever time of year you visit, there are plenty of birds to see and the hides along the route are ideal places to sit and watch their goings-on.

Depending on your point of view this is the start or finish of the trail.

Parking is available at The RSPB Vane Farm which is part of the Loch Leven Nature Reserve where you can enjoy wildlife all year round.

You will need to bring a pen/pencil.
