Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed in memory of my Gran who sadly passed away earlier this year. The hide is very close to where she lived for nearly 30 years and in a village that she lived in for over 70 years. Fond of bottled Guinness and G&Ts, lots of Whetstone folk will remember her from days gone by when her family ran "The Fish Shop" and also for her days working in the footwear factory. Also, for time spent in the village pubs - mainly the ones along High Street - (she was even stationed at one of them in the war as part of the Fire Service!). She'll definitely be remembered for her trademark laugh and cheery "oh, hello m'duck" greeting.

The cache is placed in an area of Whetstone Park mainly used by Dog Walkers and can get quite muddy so is probably unsuitable for pushchairs/wheelchairs.

The mark V version of this cache contains a log sheet only so BYOP! Please take care to replace exactly where found as the previous containers have all been muggled!

A quick cache and dash if you use the car park on High Street. The car park is almost opposite the pub and can be found at N52 34.408 W001 10.768.
