Cute quiet little area NE side of the Church. Take a seat in the Prayer Garden on your way to the Cache. Terrain is generally flat, pretty easy to find, not typical cache container though. It's creative.
This cache was put at the Church we attend, it is on private property but with permission. It has a great area surrounding the building and thought it needed a cache here. Beautiful view of Mt. Rainier on a clear day. Kent First Christian Church originally began in downtown Kent over 100 years ago until the 1980’s when it moved uphill, still keeping it's roots in Kent. The building is currently more than 35 years old, it was hand built by members of the church, old and current. Our pastor and his wife think we crazy geocachers and they love to hear about our geocaching stories. This cache has 2 waypoints. It’s not a puzzle cache, but it’s more like a guided tour. The co-ordinates posted are the cache co-ordinates. Waypoint 1: Will be parking. Waypoint 2: Is our Prayer Garden, take a seat; enjoy the fountain (during the non-freezing months). You might even see a little bunny come out and say hello. The cache is not a typical container. We decided to add the hours of the Church, since people were saying how quiet it was, if you want a challenge go at these times. :) Church service: Sunday's 10:00am. We are open and affirming! ALL are WELCOME! Wednesday evenings is our programs for youth, First Friends and Karate. And during the week, for a few hours there is a preschool here, so just be cautious. Since we don't want to scare the kids. They are at other end of building. But they only go outside if it's sunny & warm. So just keep an eye out. Thank you! FTF Prize was a $5 McD’s gift card. Congrats to Terrible Ts for the FTF!!! And to krosier7 for a very close STF!!! :) Have fun!!
