This area has been opened recently to the public as a park, and aside from the Vietnamese Cultural Garden, it appears to be relatively undeveloped.
Because of heavy tree cover, allow for ±0.003 variance on the cache coordinates. I've raised the cache difficulty a half-point to account for the uncertainty.
I believe I saw plants of the poisonous variety down by the creek. I don't believe there any which block access to the cache, but it is difficult to be certain in the winter. If you plan well, you can access the cache without approaching or crossing the creek. There have been reports of homeless encampments in the general area. Those traveling alone or with children should take appropriate precautions. The park is open from 8 am until a half hour after sunset. Dogs must be leashed.
As of February 2021, there may be a lot of homeless in this park. Please do not attempt this cache if you think it may be unsafe.
As of June 2014, the cache is an Altoids tin.
In October 2006, the cache was disabled and the terrain rating was increased to 4.0 because the main access was fenced off. As of January 2007, the easier route is once again available. I have restored the original 2.5 terrain rating, though many searchers have continued to attempt this cache from more difficult access points.
