Cache is located in Hungry Mother State Park a short distance from Marion VA on state route 16.
Effective January 1, 2009 Daily Parking Fees for Passenger Vehicles Weekdays $2 Weekends $3
The parking for this cache is just below container at a trail head parking for the new trail opened in the Spring of 2012. The container is a three inch round by five inch tall hard plastic screw top jug. As you proceed “up” to the cache site there is a “steep” bank to go up. If the weather has been wet it “will be slippery” so be careful coming down. This area you are going into used to be an old RV site and has been lately used by Scouts and other groups as a large group camping area. Please replace the container as well as you found it or even better for the enjoyment of the next cacher.

Note:
In all Virginia state parks you have to have permission to hide a geocache. Stop by the Headquarters building in the park and ask to talk to the official in charge of reviewing the Geocache Placement Application you will have to obtain from them. Let them be aware of your desire to hide and maintain a geocache in the park. Most parks may ask you to “not” make the cache for Premium members to allow the general plumbic the opportunity hunt while visiting the park. All my caches have been placed by permission at Hungry Mother State Park.
