Geocache Description:

This cache (Tree House) hidden at a corner of the house, claim is not required and easy to reach on the ground.

Kam Tin Tree House located in Shui Mei Tsuen of Kam Tin, an old banyan tree whose heavy aerial roots and trunks warp around a stone house, the roots sinking into its brick wall and granite door frame. Some say the house was a Tin Hau Temple, others claim a study hall, In the early Ch'ing period, following the imperial edict on coastal evacuation, the owner of this house left Kam Tin and never returned. In the course of time, the house fell into ruins and the adjacent tree, which grew bigger and bigger, enveloped it completely.

Kam Tin or Kam Tin Heung, is an area in the New Territories, Hong Kong. It is north of Tai Mo Shan and east of Yuen Long. It was formerly known as Sham Tin. Administratively, it is part of Yuen Long District..
