Geocache Description:

Here once stood Ed's OK Corral Museum. Park near the mail boxes and access the cache from the east side of the fence.

This cache is near what was Ed's OK Corral Museum. It was a museum that was dedicated to the Old West and specifically the OK Corral in Tombstone AZ. There is not a lot of record of the building itself but I found many articles in the local news archives. Most of the articles are about rezoning issues. The links below are to the newspaper clippings. I wish I had gotten to see it before it was closed. The owners name was Ed Klett. He was born and raised in Keeler, Michigan. Ed moved to Chino Valley in 1985 and began building the museum. He was born Jan 17, 1917 and past away on May 27, 2008 at the age of 91. The Museum was built between 1985 and 1987. The main building was destroyed in a fire on July 24, 2011.
