Koh Rayang is a beutiful little island just outside Koh Mak in the
Koh Chang archipilago. The island has one simple but very nice
resort with bungalows on the beach and on the hillside. The beach
has blinding white with shell and coral sand. Due to the currents
outside the island the beach are moving from one side to the other
three times a year. This means that there are new fresh sand at all
times and also that there are no sandflies on the beach at all,
witch is a problem on Koh Mak. The water is very clear and you can
snorkel just of the beach. A real paradise!
At night thousands of hermit crabs are coming ou t to feed and
in the morning the beach are full of the tracks from these small
and fascinating animals.
If you visit these waters do not miss this pearl of an island!
The resort can pick you up by boat from Koh Mak or you can rent a
kayak to paddle out yourself! Either way you will not regret the
trip!
