The Airport Shuttle (Kyiv Metro Series) Traditional Cache
islander1988: When I visited the cache the last time to do maintenance, I decided the next time it was muggled I wouldn't bother to replace it since there are many nicer places for cachers to visit in Kyiv. Since it appears from the last two logs that the cache and hiding spot are both gone, I'm closing the books on this one. Happy caching!

There are two primary ways to get to Boryspil' Airport: a taxi, or the airport shuttle.
The airport shuttle begins at the train station (metro station Vokzalna), but it makes a stop at metro station Harkivska before continuing on to the airport. Taxis often wait at this stop as well in hopes of getting passengers headed to the airport, and will sometimes gather several people waiting for the shuttle and offer them a comparable fare if they can fill their vehicle.
The cache is located near one of the metro exits, and on the same side of the road (but the other side of the underpass) from where the shuttle stops. See the extra waypoint for the stop location. You do not need to cross any roads; simply follow the sidewalk from the metro exit along the road and it'll take you to the cache, which is hidden in a guard rail.
Be aware up front this is not a scenic location if you're looking for nice caches to visit in Kyiv; the field by the metro exit attracts garbage, and unfortunately the last time I was there I saw two needles by the edge of the sidewalk that looked like they'd been there a while. So please watch where you're walking; stay on the sidewalk to reach the cache, do not cut across the grass, and do not reach into the guard rail where you can't see (you don't have to; the cache should be plainly visible). I want everyone to stay safe. Having already gone to the wrong metro stop myself to catch to the airport shuttle (don't let the name of metro stop Borispil'ska fool you) I decided to plant this cache as a service to out of town geocachers who need to find the shuttle and also give them a chance to grab a cache before leaving, but due to the area's problems, I'll be archiving the cache if it gets muggled again.
