The Guardman is located on the Lunt-Fontanne Nature Preserve. Permission to place caches in the town of Genessee was granted by Ron Hill, chairman of the Genessee Parks Department.
Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne's historic 1920's era home, The Ten Chimneys, is located adjacent to the nature preserve. The Guardsman was one of three motion pictures Lynn Fontanne starred in, earning her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. Her husband, Alfred Lunt, was also nominated in The Guardman for Best Actor.
