Geocache Description:


The Grants Creek Baptist Church was constituted in 1828; the Grants Creek Sunday School Union was organized 6 months earlier in 1827. This makes Granys Creek Church home to the oldest Sunday School in Alabama.

One of the entrance gates to the cemetery was dedicated Samuel M. Hill; he served as the City Engineer for Birmingham and later as the Tuscaloosa County Engineer.
