This cache has been archived.

HighCountryAdmin: I am archiving this defunct geocache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Geocache Description:

I'll be a monkey's uncle.

This cache is placed for my 2nd oldest daughter Megan, she loves monkeys and geocaching. So what better thing to do for her birthday than to hide a geocache in her honor. Oh, did I mention that ALL of her birthday gifts were in the cache? To play it up even more, I created a fake cache listing so she could find it. Here is what I created:

Who let the monkey out of the bag?

"Give me a home, where the buffalo roam, and the deer and the tree monkey play...."

OK, maybe the song doesn't exactly go like that. But no matter. Rumor has it that a monkey escaped from a traveling circus in this very area. In his effort to remain free (and not get caught), he needed a plan. During his wandering around, he found the nearby caches: "Are We There Yet Toy Exchange" and "NM Bonsai". Thinking this was really interesting, he made up his very own. Now of course, he was smart enough to know that people will come looking for it. So he made his home nearby, but out of sight.

This of course was placed by: GuyInYellowHat

Enjoy this area and please replace the cache as found. The "M" request has been removed so feel free to leave any and all swag. No, I don't know how it got there, but it was pretty interesting.

Please keep in mind that we only have an old school car GPS to Geocache with. We can be within 100 ft and then use Google maps to fine tune the location. Just look around for the most obvious place to hide a cache. Really out of the ordinary. Again, not sure how it got there, but it is.
