Geocache Description:

I was driving past the other day and saw a bloke walking a Great Dane here. That got me thinking about some of the Great Dames that have lived here.

Up until recently a Great Dame known as Edna Everage might have come out and thrown some Gladiolis at you or she was even maybe chased by that dirty Sir Les Patterson, but I dont think that would be possible. Of course this property is more famous for another Dame. Who the nearby Melba Highway was named after. This of course would be Nellie Melba. An operatic Soprano who in the early 1900's would have people lined up almost all the way Lilydale many deep when she returned here from overseas concert series. She was also well known for her charity work. The cache container is now a fairly common type of container that is not tupperware. In replacing please ensure it is pressed firmly against the ground so the brush cutter doesn't get it and give it a good smattering of leaves for como. How things have changed with this location. When I first placed it there was a massive oak tree, that the cache was placed behind. That was removed and the cache was moved to the base of the wall. In late 2015, a new drive way was put in, removing a section of the wall and hedge.
