This cache was placed on one of the many estuaries present on Galveston's west end. These marshy areas are where water from the sea and fresh water mix, providing essential habitat for fish, shellfish, crustaceans, birds and many other coastal critters. Enjoy the view but be careful, this road is a bit busy at times and there could be mosquitoes and snakes about!! The cache is not down near the water -- it's up high and dry.
There is a Benchmark within 8 feet of the cache!! Grab it while you're there!!
