And speaking of surprises, it may surprise you that this roller coaster is open year round! But don’t you worry as most of the cars on the Roller Coaster have heaters in the winter and air conditioning in the summer! I kid you not!
Hopefully some day they will add some more rides but for now we will have to settle for this one, which is fine with me as the Roller Coaster is my favorite amusement park ride anyway! It does look like they are working on a train ride parallel to and north of the Roller Coaster but it does not appear to be open to the public yet. It does look like they are doing a lot of heavy duty test runs on it. This Roller Coaster is one and one half miles long and is approved for speeds up to 30 miles per hour! I actually “clocked” it with my GPS at 35 miles per hour but I do not recommend that speed! To the best of my knowledge this is the only permanent Roller Coaster in Montana and so be sure to enjoy it!
I have placed a geocache at each end of the Roller Coaster. You may get on the Roller Coaster at either the west or east entrance and I suggest you ride the Roller Coaster to get to the other end for the other cache! Hey, this is almost a two for one deal!
This cache container is a 8 inch PVC pipe and hidden differently than the west entrance of the amusement park. And one last thing - be sure to put your seat belt on and be sure to keep your arms and legs inside the car on this Roller Coaster! Wheeeeeee!
WINTER NOTE: The Difficulty of this cache would be just as easy in the winter! The Terrain could be harder depending a good deal on how much snow there is and how much snow plowing might make it a little harder to get to it.
