The Smelters Picnic originally know as the BHP Company's Lead Smeltary Smelters Picnic began at this very spot back in 1906. But since 1986 has been held in Port Pirie.
Take a wonder through this lovely spot where buildings still stand. Sad to see a great little spot wasting away but good to see its characteristics still there. Now running in Port Pirie the Smelters Picnic is still a day were the hole town stops to relax. BYO pen log entry only.
