Nutz for the Nutty Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

hammiam: This cache was put out as a tribute cache to OutdoorsNutz, who I met through Geocaching. A wonderful lady who's totally obsessed with caching; one story from her early caching days goes something like this; on a Fall evening her and her daughter went out into the Wainfleet marsh searching for Tupperware, armed only with a laptop to guide them to the cache (not a light weight one either). With no flashlight and poorly dressed the battery on the computer died. They struggled to find there way back to the car from inside the swamp. Hours later, somehow they managed to scramble out no worse for wear. The good news is that they did find it and signed the log. Lucky for them they had a pen.
Neat tails, good company, and lots of laughs, keep me Geocaching.

Also!! She's the only person I know to collect both active "Ape Caches".
At the time there were two, now there's only one of the original twelve left I believe.
Definitely a great cacher and most worthy of a tribute! See you on the trail Liz!

Geocache Description:

This is a straight up traditional hide. Please respect the tradition of caching and put swag in for swag taken.

BYOP and as always please re-hide the cache better than found. There is a gift card for FTF. Have a good time and get dirty.

This cache is for those Nutz out there that enjoy the Outdoors in all kinds of weather. And what better place to put it than on the street where I grew up. The cache is hidden on the Hillbilly half of Sumbler Road and can easily be accessed from the parking location.
