A pleasant stroll from the John Reginato trailhead, with fishing access, wildlife viewing, and rare river views right in town. http://healthyshasta.org/maps/ReginatoRiverAccess.pdf
You'll be finding a plastic jar with a variety of items for many interests. The real treasure is this new trail, wonderful for walking or easy mountain biking. No bushwhacking ever, but watch where you put your hands during your hunt, as this is snake country. Continue on to the Nicolet access for a rarely found multi cache as well.
John Reginato was the chief mover and shaker promoting tourism in Northern California since 1949. He passed away in 2007. He would have enjoyed this walk.
