Geocache Description:

Please come and join us for a fun day at:
 Callaway Gardens
in Pine Mountain GA

Our meeting will be at 2:00PM in the Virginia Hand Discovery Center

Once again Callaway Gardens will be opening the doors  and welcoming us all in to enjoy their fantastic park free of charge.  The Chattahoochee Valley Cachers will be bringing out the fantastic display table to teach a few things to us veterans and many things to those just starting out.

Unlike the past couple of years we will not be playing a special game or having a great feast, instead this year we thought we would concentrate on enjoying time hunting caches, eating some great snacks from the snack bar and enjoying telling stories to each other.

For those who don't know Callaway Gardens is a paid admission park with many activities and is a fantastic venue for many family activities.
(Free in Jan. and Feb.)

It is also the home to 41 geocaches as of 12/1/2011,
see this Bookmark List for active caches.

Please be sure and budget enough time to check out Callaway's latest attraction:  Tree Top Adventure
This is located very near the Virginia Hand Discovery Center where we will be meeting.

The GGA Meeting will be held inside the Virginia Hand Discovery Center at 2:00 PM, just come on in and follow the signs. We will have a speaker and door prize drawings as well as a generally great time.

Now that the Leave No Trace organization has written a set of guidelines for geocaching, it was thought that it might be a good time to hear how we can all continue to Geocache with the least amount of impact on the enviroment.

Check out the links for Callaways many activities including the nearby
 Birds of Prey show.

As always we appreciate assistance from other groups and once again the Chattahoochee Valley Cachers are helping out in many ways, not the least of which was originally coordinating and getting Callaway Gardens opened to Geocaching.
