I brought my
two oldest boys up this hill to finally see the flag they've always
only seen from a distance. It had been a few years since I had made
the climb, and I had forgotten what great views you have on a clear
day from up here. Since there were no new caches to find, I decided
to hide a few, including this one.
Although Rancho
Bernardo doesn't have their own power company, the substation down
the hill would probably be their HQ. I know the camo is completely
wrong for this hide, but it was all I had on me. I'll fix on a
future hike. The terrain is steep in parts, and the decomposed
granite can be slippery as well so tread carefully. As always, be
on the lookout for snakes.
