This cache replaces the archived cache "The Buffalo Returns Again" that was first placed in July 2001 and is located in its final resting place. In fact it uses the same cache container that has been there since at least 2010. The original cache went missing a few times, so please re-hide it carefully after your visit. Please be aware of deer and moose in the area and to stay safe, please be respectful of them and enjoy them from a distance.
The site is one of my favorite places in the Evanston area and is a great place to spend the afternoon. Be sure to check out some of the other caches nearby. Though accessible during the winter, it may be difficult when snow is on the ground. This cache has permission to be here by the park supervisor.
