Piciformes

Please DO NOT search for this cache at night.
They often close the gate at dusk.
You do not need to go past the wildlife refuge boundary signs.

The woodpecker is a prime example of the Piciformes order. They bore holes in trees with their beaks through repetitive movement. This produces a sound associated with the woodpecker that sounds like a tiny jackhammer pounding away at trees. Notable Piciformes include Woody the Woodpecker.
