Mt. Shosha (Cableway station)
Although the altitude at the top of Mt. Shosha is only 371m, many people visit here throughout the year because there is a famous temple Engyoji. There are 6 trails to the temple from the mountain foot. In addition, an aerial cableway (ropeway in Japanese) has been operated in the daytime. The Higashizaka trail is characterized by better prospects than the west one. However, it becomes walking on rocky road. There is a cableway station at waypoint of the Higashizaka trail. If you wish to visit Engyoji, you have to pay entrance fee (500yen, As of 2011).

書写山 (ロープウェイ山上駅)
書写山は標高３７１mの山ですが、山上には圓教寺があり、四季を通して訪れる人が多い山です。山上へは六つの参拝道があります。さらにロープウェイもあるので、誰もが気軽に参拝できます。東坂参道は西坂に比べると展望が良いのが特徴ですが、岩場を登ることになります。登りきるとロープウェイの駅のそばに着きます。ここから先に進む場合は志納所があり、500円支払う必要があります(2011年現在)。
