Geocache Description:

Last Sunday my wife and I were enjoying a nice candlelit dinner. We were celebrating a special day at our favorite Swedish restaurant - The Burgandy Herrings. Afterwards Cori and I went home and played our favorite board game: BanaScrab. This game combines the tiles from Bananagrams and Scrabble, the board from Scrabble, and a certain demented mental state.

In BanaScrab, tile points count, but Banagram tiles count as negative points (same value as in Scrabble but they are deducted). Board placement works the same, but all points functions per the board are doubled (i.e. a Double Word placement actually is quadrupled). A fun twist is that any word can be used - including proper nouns, people's names, cities, foreign words, and even fictional words from published novels and movies that otherwise would be pure nonsense (these are usually big points).

Now, many cachers know that Kablooey is a world champion Scrabble player (in addition to, once a month, being a sadistic puzzler). Kablooey is also highly ranked in BanaScrab - winning tournaments in all 50 states (except for Idaho and Alaska). However, in a recent team BanaScrab tournament, my wife and I beat Team Kablooey five straight sets.

The final game boards for each set are pictured below in order from top down.

The first set was the closest. We scored 373 points, with a margin of victory of just 2 points. We scored 122 points in the third set and beat Team Kablooey by 15 points. I don't recall the scoring in the other sets, but I am sure you can calculate it using the tiles and board placement.
