Geocache Description:


Gozen-yama is a mountain with an altitude of 186 m, and since felling of a tree was forbidden to the Edo period, a big tree grows luxuriantly and it serves as a natural treasury which various animals inhabit.
Since the scene at which it looks from Nakagawa resembles Arashiyama in Kyoto, it is called Arashiyama in Kanto.

御前山は標高186mの山で、江戸時代に木の伐採が禁止されていたため、大きな木が生茂り、様々な動物が生息する自然の宝庫となっています。那珂川から眺める景観は、京都の嵐山に似ていることから、関東の嵐山と呼ばれています。
