Jiyugaoka station is at the intersection of Tokyu Toyoko Line and Oimachi Line. The cache was hidden under the overpass of Toyoko Line. Please bring a pen.
This area was originally called "Fusuma" and the station was named "Kuhonbutsumae Station" when the line was opened.
In early Showa, Jiyugaoka Gakuen School was established here.
So, the station and area name has been renamed after that.
There are many cafe, restaurants, variety & grocery stores, apparel shops and residents around the station.
Here are popular especially among young people. Often here are the top rank of "Where do you wish to live in?" in several surveys of the media.

自由ヶ丘駅は、東急東横線と大井町線の交差する駅です。
このあたりは元々は「衾」という地名で、昭和のはじめに東急線が開通した時は「九品仏前駅」という名前でした。この地に自由ヶ丘学園という学校が設立され、それに因んで駅名が「自由ヶ丘駅」に、さらに地名も｢自由が丘｣に改称されました。
駅の周辺は商業・住宅地が発展し、雑多な町並みの中に多数の飲食店・アパレル・雑貨店といった店舗が並んでいます。特に若者に人気があり、しばしばメディアなどで「住んでみたい街」の上位に挙げられています。
