Geocache Description:

Just another "trash cache" with a few trinkets, and a chore (if you are taking the "Hillbilly Geocaching Dendrology Degree"). The chore is to identify the tree next to the cache, smooth bark, many trunks, then identify one of the pines nearby to species. (Sophomore level)

I have created the "Hillbilly Geocaching Dendrology" course as an adjunct to many of my caches. I have had a lifelong love of trees, and like sharing my love of trees with others.

The cacher who wishes to play this course will need to identify trees located at or near the Dendrology caches. They will be Freshman level (101 and up), Sophomore (201 and up), Junior (301 and up), and Senior level (401 and up). You will need to identify the pertinent tree or trees from each cache, and get 3 caches from each level, and you will get a
certificate of "Bachelor in Science, Hillbilly Geocaching Dendrology", and a plaque made especially for you, detailing your accomplishment. You will be given coordinates for where to find them when you get your "degree".

As such, the caches are still going out, and soon it will be possible to get a "BS, (HGD). Later, there will be a Master's Degree, and of course, a PhD (Piled higher and Deeper).

Those not wishing to "take the course", and those passing through, there is no "alternate logging requirement". You will get credit for the cache no matter what. Only those wishing to do the coursework towards a "degree" are urged to "turn in your work".

I got this idea from Laineybug's "101 Dalmatians", and just distorted it some for my uses.
