Na tej polanie okupanci hitlerowscy dokonali
trzech masowych egzekucji: latem 1942 r., noca z 29 na 30 czerwca
1943 r. i 15 lipca 1943 r. Ponioslo w nich smierc nie mniej niz 176
Polaków. Rozstrzeliwanych grzebano w przygotowanych uprzednio
dolach. Jesienia 1944 r. Sonderkommando 1005, zacierajac slady
zbrodni, spalilo zwloki wszystkich ofiar. Groby usypane wiosna 1945
r. kryja jedynie ich prochy. Cmentarz ten zostal poswiecony przez
Ordynariusza Diecezji Lomzynskiej ks. Biskupa Stanislawa Kostke
Lukomskiego w dniu 15 lipca 1945 roku.

In this place the Nazi occupying forces made
three mass executions: in the summer of 1942, during the night of
29/30 June 1943 and in 15 July 1943 Not less than 176 Poles were
murdered here. Executed people were buried in previously prepared
pits. In autumn 1944, the Sonderkommando 1005, obliterating the
traces of the crime burned all the corpses of the victims. The
graves dug in the spring of 1945, contain only their ashes. This
cemetery was consecrated by the Ordinary of the Diocese of Lomza,
Fr. Bishop Stanislaus Kostka Lukomski on 15 July 1945.
