Hokitika Gorge Scenic Reserve – valued for its pristine podocarp forests, striking turquoise water, restful river valleys and mountainous landscape.
Track is well formed, with an even surface. It is suitable for people of most abilities and fitness. All streams and river crossings are bridged. Suitable shoes for walking are recommended. Children should be supervised at all times. No dogs, bikes, camping, fires.
There is a short section of unsealed road as you get closer to your destination. Toilet facilities are located by the car park area.
We found that GPS accuracy is not the best in this area
No need to leave the track to find the 400mL container
