Wirral Leap Day Meet - One in Fourteen Sixty One. Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sir PhilPamAndRob: I think all logging is complete, if not it can still be done after being archived.
Also all trackables have been logged out of the event.
Thanks to all who turned up to make it such an enjoyable event
Cheers, Phil

Geocache Description:

After a very successful event in September 2011, we are returning to the Saughall Hotel for another evening of eating, drinking and geo-chat. Everyone, whether from the Wirral or further afield is most welcome to come and join in the fun. It’s a great opportunity to meet the people behind those names you see in logbooks, as well as get a few hints on those more difficult caches!

When:
Wednesday 29th February 2012 from 7pm until L.T.L. (Last to Leave).

Where:
The Saughall Hotel, Saughall Massie, Wirral, L46 5ND

Saughall Hotel

Further Details:
It’s the one day every 1461 days when you are able to get a smilie for the most difficult day of your caching calendar – 29th February! Why risk a DNF on a night-time torchlit hunt, where it could be cold, windy and wet, when the alternative is having a great evening with fellow cachers in a pub!

If the term “caching calendar” doesn’t mean much to you, then have a look at the statistics page of your geocaching profile to see on how many days you haven’t found a cache. Then consider it will be another 4 years before you have the next chance to complete this square!

Caching Calendar

We will be holding a raffle in aid of the North West Mega being held at Cartmel, Cumbria in 2012, and any donations of prizes will be appreciated. There will also be the opportunity to buy North West Mega related merchandise, including the specially commissioned series of Geocoins.

For those wanting an evening stroll to find some local caches, there are quite a few within easy walking distance of the pub. Just ask if you want a recommendation on the best way to approach the three local multis. If you would like to walk to and find the puzzle cache “(Cross Eyed” (GC2Q017) ensure you have worked out the cache co-ordinates in advance!

We're all looking forward to meeting you,
The Wirral Cachers (Lannies, Langfords, DTRTours, Jane267, BRHutch87, Foggy46, Wasmiss & PhilPamandRob)
