Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the SC State Park Geocache Challenge. You can search for an ammo can or a micro, depending on the challenge you want and the time of day/year.

The listed coordinates are for the ammo can and micro, located very close together, except the micro lives where you also might find a troll! There are two containers you can find with this cache, one ammo can on the inside or a micro, on the outside for those who come when the store is closed. The choice is yours, one or both, but you only get one smiley!! The micro is a small container hidden in typical fashion and the ammo can is hidden very publicly, just ask an employee. The ammo can should be a great place to make trades and swap out trackables, since it is protected from muggles!!

Along the far-reaching stretch of Grand Strand coastline, Myrtle Beach State Park sits nestled among oceanfront maritime forest. A quiet, and surprisingly green, escape from the otherwise bustling beach, the park provides educational opportunities, a nature trail and the best in Myrtle Beach pier and surf fishing.

As far as Myrtle Beach campgrounds go, the parks’ is among the most popular, providing guests with convenient beach access and cozy sites, tucked away under the pine trees. Overnight guests may also stay in one of six rental cabins, built by the CCC in the 1930s.

This cache is part of the South Carolina State Park Service Geocache Challenge. There are 4 regions within the challenge, with different numbers of geocache locations in each region. In each posted cache, there is a hint, leading you to a final cache in each region, 4 in total. And in that final cache in each region is also a hint, giving you a clue to reach the final cache, located at Sesquicentennial State Park which entitles the first 5 finders to a special reward. But to do this, you will have to have traveled to all 47 parks, and have found all of the caches! Good luck and most of all, have fun!
