The Wiessner woods, named for long-time Stowe conservationists, is
a popular area for hikers, dog walkers, and cross-country skiers.
It is managed by the Stowe
Land Trust. Park at N 44°29.816 W 072°43.626 in a small parking
lot just off Edson Hill Road. From the parking, follow blue blazes
and signs across a private drive and to a small trail information
kiosk. Please enter the woods at the kiosk and stay on the marked
trail system. The meadow is private property and off limits to
hiking.
When you get to the Meadow Trail, turn left here. After a short
uphill hike, you will come to a lovely section of trail along the
meadow. From the edge of the woods, you can enjoy nice views of the
surrounding mountains.
