Cache #9 in my water series.
I needed a place to drop off a coin that needed to go to kayak caches. Since there was still room I decided to place a new kayak cache here at Three Mile Lake in a spot I had been considering in the summer. I ended up finding the perfect hiding place! This is a water cache, you will need a boat/kayak/raft/barge/water wings/etc to get to this one. Since we are nearing the holidays, here is your reminder to ask Santa for a kayak so you can finally go grab all those pesky terrain 5 caches that are cluttering up the closest to home list. You are looking for a small camo canister type container I picked up at Geowoodstock 9. This is the highest rated Kayak cache I've put out yet. Most of the difficulty rating comes from the retrieval of the cache itself. This one will be much easier in the winter and early spring. In the summer, when green-up occurs, this one will be a real bear! Be safe when going for the retrieval on this one, I recommend bringing some friends along, preferably at least one of a "Geochef" type mentality that you can get to do the dirty work of retrieval for you.
My last Kayak cache sat unfound for almost a month, since it is the holiday season, I challenge someone to find this before December 25th. Come on, don't be a Grinch!
