A relatively quick 'cache and dash'.
This cache is dedicated to Julian, the Lord Fellowes of West Stafford. Born on 17 Aug 1949, Julian Fellowes was educated in a strong Roman Catholic tradition including Ampleforth College. He went up to Magdalene College, Cambridge where he was an active member of the 'Footlights'. Following this he went into a career in acting appearing in numerous TV drama's such as Monarch of the Glen and Our Friends up North. I remember him as one of the horrible Hullabaloos in the Coot Club He has also played George IV the Prince Regent (The Scarlet Pimpernel and Sharpe's Regiment). He is, however, now best known for his work behind the camera as a writer/director with credits such as From Time to Time and, notably, Downton Abbey. His highpoint came in 2002 with an Oscar for his screenplay for Gosford Park. He is married, with one son.
