Cache is a micro. Please replace so that it looks as natural as possible and so just the camo is showing, and watch for muggles. BYOP.
Monterey Bay Academy used to be a military base. In 1938, the National Guard relocated 250th Coast Artillery Regiment to MBA's present site. Camp McQuiade was the WWll coastal artillery training center and became the official stockade for army deserters. However, it was decommissioned after ten years.
In 1948, the government attempted to sell it to Santa Cruz County for $1 as a site for a junior college, and to California State Parks as a state park. Leal Grunke was the procurement officer for the Central California conference of Seventh-Day Adventists. He proposed using it as a boarding school. Grunke convinced the War Assets administration to give the land to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church on August 13, 1948. No money was paid for it, not even the the price which was asked of Santa Cruz County earlier in the year, (which was $1).
Now MBA is a Seventh-Day Adventist high school, and has been one since the purchase of it was made.
