One of a short linear run of tedious film pots (and one clip box) at close intervals linking Brocks Hill to Mere Lane Bridleway ..
The original f32 hide has been relocated here to make a small loop at the far end of the walk .
When I was doing some routine maintenance I noticed a brand new feature, a neat little bridge on the line of the footpath.
It is an utterly redundant bit of expenditure, mind, as tho' the footpath does run straight up the field legally speaking, there is a diversion established by long custom along the hedge line you walked down on the field margin from 'A Mere Bagatelle'.
That unofficial diversion, allowing the farmer to crop the true path line, had been in use for some time when I first walked it 20 years or more ago . Still, what we have here is an ideal hide for a relocated cache in a spot most muggles will never use .
