Snake River State
Forest
Snake River State Forest is located in the northeastern corner of
Kanabec County and is largely undeveloped.
This is the parking area for access to the Hunter Walking Trail in
this part of the State Forest. The last mile or so leading to this
area is a minimum maintenance road which means it's not plowed in
the winter.
This area is actively hunted during both firearm AND muzzle loader
seasons so make sure you wear your orange!
