The Cacher & The Ants!
In a firs, one summer's day a cacher was about to hunt to its heart's content. A group of ants walked by, grunting as they struggled to find their food.
I am not going anywhere near those big things said the cacher.
Without stopping, the ants replied, We are just storing food for the winter and won’t be in your way.
Winter is far, it is a glorious day and we are keeping our distance.
The ants just went on their way and continued their hard work.
The weather soon turned cold. All the tupperware lying in the firs was now covered with a thick white blanket of snow and ice that even the cacher could not search through. Soon the cacher found itself without a find.
It even struggled on to the ants' hill but saw that was even caked in ice and snow.
"What!" cried the ants in surprise, "you didn’t bother to come here before the winter? What in the world were you doing all summer?"
"I didn't like to get too close," complained the cacher; "and I was so busy elsewhere that before I knew it the warmer weather was gone."
The ants shook their heads in disgust, turned their backs on the cacher and went back to sleep.
And the moral of the story, the cacher had better get there fast before the ants wake up or the weather turns bad.
