There is no doubt that Abraham Lincoln is a very prolific figure in United States history. He's attributed with many things during the growth of our budding nation. Heck, everywhere you go, you see Lincoln's legacy. There are memorials for him. Highways named after him. Cities, counties, parks, you name it. Did you know that there are twenty three states with a county named after Lincoln? Twenty four if you count Lincoln Parish in Louisiana.
There are many geocaching challenge caches out there that represent nearly every possible "number" there is in terms of geocaching. But the one thing I couldn't find is a challenge for finding identically named counties. This challenge is about counties, about counties named after Abraham Lincoln, and it's about a whole lot of them.
Your goal is to find and log a geocache located within Lincoln County of SIX (6) unique states. Here are the rules:
1. You must find and properly log a geocache within the Lincoln County of SIX (6) or more unique states.
2. Only physical caches (caches with a container and log), virtual caches and earthcaches are allowed. Any other cache types are not allowed.
3. All previous finds do count.
4. You MUST prove that you've fulfilled you requirement by listing them or by picture attachment.
5. While I can't control when you sign the physical log, you must meet the requirement before logging the find online.
6. FIRST TO FIND (if you play the side game) is awarded to the first person to MEET THE REQUIREMENT, SIGN THE PHYSICAL LOG, AND LOG THE FIND ONLINE.
Have fun and remember, it IS about the numbers, is some fashion or another. If I were being totally honest, I suppose this cache should be hidden within Minnesota's Lincoln County. But then, the masses would never hear about it..
