That's a big tree, eh?
Planted by H. Lane in the 1880s, this walnut tree is an incredible specimen.
The Tree is right on the road, and while there is rarely any traffic to speak of, you can't park next to the Tree.
I suggest parking at 2449 N. Nugent, where the Curry Preserve Orchard and P-Patch are. you can walk the 50 yards north up the road to the Big Tree. Don't go through the field, it's difficult to get to the Tree that way.
When walking and searching around, be careful of the drainage ditch. The Tree spans it, but you could still twist your Ankle.
You'll know you're at the right Tree, when you see the Plaque.
