Cayuga Crew: Thanks to all that visited and logged finding this cache. It just felt right to pick up the can and pack it out as I was walking the woods of Chestnut the other day.

Geocache Description:

Another cache we placed in Chestnut Ridge Park to help you beat back them old "There aren't any new caches out there winter blues."

POSTED PARK HOURS 7AM - 9PM.

It's hard to predict what the weather will be like a month or two from the day I placed it (12/5/11) but today it was 55 degrees and overcast. I got a little antsy and decided a hike in America's largest county park was in order. When I approached form the Newton Road entrance I noticed the gates were locked for the winter on the west side of the park which would make my hike to my desired destination a little longer until spring arrives and the gates are flung open for the 2012 picnic season. Now don't get me wrong as I like when the gates are shut and locked as it keeps this side of the park a little more peaceful and serene. While wandering the park today I ventured into some area I had not visited before despite thinking I knew the park like the back of my hand. As I crested a small hill framed by two rivlets I thought to myself this place would look great with a dusting of snow. I pondered if I could find a way to get people to trek back here in the winter months to take photos of it and post them on line. Just then it occurred to me that I had a 50 cal ammo can stuffed with swag in my pocket and I sought a place to hide it to lure you to this location. I can't demand that you post a photo once you get here but I am certainly willing to ask you nicely to submit one. Thanks in advance.

In lieu of a 36" tall trophy like Team Scrunchy received for ftfing a nearby cache we hope ARMORFIRELADY is content with seeing her name in lights honoring her FTF effort here on a bitterly cold morning!
